Project In-Charge (1-year Contract, renewable)

The Project In-charge plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to incubatees, organizing events, and offering administrative assistance for the Oxfam Grant for Good Incubation Programme. This programme is a social innovation incubation initiative supported by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIEF) of the Hong Kong SAR Government. It aims to provide funding, training, consultancy, and other essential business support to innovative projects that tackle poverty alleviation and promote social inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and groom high-potential project applications with good strategic fit and strong organizational capability.
- Coordinate comprehensive nurturing services for the incubatees, offer guidance on their project development, and leverage internal and external resources to accelerate growth and scale-up;
- Coordinate the screening and vetting process of proposals received according to programme and SIEF’s guidelines.
- Regularly visit and monitor the progress of funded projects to ensure timely reporting and positive project outcomes.
- Steer marketing and brand building initiatives for the programme and funded projects.
- Organize events for the public and applicants, including but not limited to training (online & offline), networking activities, showcases, and award ceremonies.
- Foster cross-sector collaboration among government, academia, NGOs, businesses, and civil society.
- Undertake other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in social innovation, grant-making, project management, marketing or administration. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Project Officer II.
- Previous working experience in incubators, social enterprises and non-governmental organizations would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across multiple tasks, manage time effectively, meet tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong work relationships with a wide range of people at all levels and to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent speaking and written communication skills. Detail minded and able to prepare clear and structured reports, presentation decks, and correspondence.
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
